New Delhi: Pakistan cricketers Ahmed Shehzad and Wahab Riaz were in no mood for Valentines Day love on Sunday, as they clashed during a Pakistan Super League match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi.
The incident occurred in the fifth over of the Quetta Gladiators innings.
Shehzad tonked the ball over midwicket for a huge six off the very first ball of the pacer's over.
On the very next ball, the left-armer knocked Shehzad's stumps over and let out a huge scream looking the batsman in the eye.
Not one to back off, Shehzad wielded is bat towards the bowler, saying a few words on his way.
That clearly angered Riaz who advanced towards Shehzad and pushed him.
Batsman at the non-striker's end, Asad Shafiq, was quick to pull his colleague aside, while Peshawar Zalmi players including skipper Shahid Afridi calmed Riaz down.
The duo continued to fire verbal volleys at each other even after that.
Riaz however, ended up with figures of 2 for 19 and had the final laugh as his side won the contest by 8 wickets.
