Patel led the side from the front as the southpaw slammed a sensational ton (105) to take his team to a respectable total of 273 runs, after Delhi decided to bowl first.

Even after losing two wickets early in the innings, Patel with Rujul Bhatt (60) added 149 runs for the third wicket to get back on track.

When Delhi came to chase the tricky total, RP Singh and Jaspreet Bumra created havoc with the ball and made sure Gujarat successfully defended the total, by sharing nine wickets between them.

RP Singh went through Delhi's top-order as he claimed the crucial wickets of Shikhar Dhawan (5), Gautam Gambhir (9) and Milind Kumar (0) early in the innings.
