New Delhi: National selectors on Sunday announced India's squad for the ODI and T20 series against Australia early next year.
The list of probables entailed plenty of suprises for Indian cricket fans.
Most notable among them was the exclusion of Suresh Raina and inclusion of Yuvraj Singh into the T20 side.
Also, youngsters Hardik Padya and Brainder Sran were picked by the selectors.
While several fans might have known about Pandya who played a key role in Mumbai Indians' IPL win earlier this year, but Sran is a name few cricket fans had heard of.
Interestingly, Sran's Punjab temmate Yuvi had spotted the spark in him well before his selection to the Indian side.
Way back in October, Yuvi took to social micro-blogging site Twitter to compare Brainder to Zaheer Khan.
The Punjab skipper was impressed with a spell the pacer bowled on a flat track.
Barinder saran! Serious spell of fast bowling on a flat track ! A talented fast left armer to watch out for reminds me of a young @ImZaheer
