New Delhi: Bermuda cricketer Jason Anderson has been handed a life ban for his role in an ugly brawl during a match in the tiny island nation 10 days ago.
The incident took place during a club cricket match in Bermuda when two players got physically involved in a scuffle.
Jason Anderson, representing Cleveland County Cricket Club provoked Willow Cuts Cricket Club batsman George O'Brien, which resulted in a heated brawl in the centre of the pitch.
While Anderson slapped O'Brien on the back of his head, the batsman retaliated by wildly swinging his bat, narrowly missing Anderson.
Anderson, who has represented Bermuda 14 times has has been handed a life-ban, while O'Brien was suspended for six matches.
