New Delhi: Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis turned 31 on Friday. 

Once considered world cricket's 'mystery' bowler, Mendis failed to sustain his form in the long run.

However, he flummoxed even the best batsmen during his peak and was virtually unplayable.
