New Delhi: West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons is known to play some awe-inspiring knocks in T20 cricket.
The right-hander played an unforgettable innings at the Wankhede Stadium to knock India out of the WT20 few months back.
Simmons is in the news again, not for but exploits in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League but his unique approach to batting against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The St Kitts and Nevis Patriots batsman took off one of his pads in the 12th over of the innings. This never-seen-before strategy didn't do him any favours as the opener scored a 60-ball 50, which is the slowest half-century in T20 cricket.
"He's batting with one leg guard. I have never seen this in any cricket apart from backyard," said commentator Ian Bishop.
