After a momentous second day with the bat, India will push for an early end to the match. And day three will be crucial to any such move. A good day with ball will give India the complete control in the match.
Yesterday, Virat Kohli hit his first ever double-ton. The skipper was ably supported by Ravichandran Ashwin, with the bat. The off-spinner scored his third Test ton, all against West Indies.
Then, finally after 161.5 overs, India declared their innings once Amit Mishra, who scored a quick fifty, got out.
West Indies started the chase well, so to say. But they lost Rajendra Chandrika in the 15th over, and the second day ended an over too soon to the dismay of Kohli.
Day 3 will start with West Indies resuming from their overnight score of 31/1.
Welcome to our live coverage of Day 3 of the first Test match between West Indies and India being played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.
