Mumbai: Following their second loss of the Indian Super League (ISL) season 2, Mumbai City FC assistant coach Oscar Bruzon said the team is taking the matches and lot of things lightly, also adding that it is high time the side starts winning to reduce pressure.
Chennaiyin FC forward Steven Mendoza scored a brilliant brace to steer the visitors to a convincing 2-0 win over hosts Mumbai at the D.Y. Patil Stadium here on Friday.
"I think the team is taking a lot of things very lightly. We have to surely come up with some good performance in the next matches to rescue pressure. We have to sit down and see what went wrong and try to improve on the areas," Bruzon said at the post match press conference here.
"We had created a lot of chances in the middle but could not score goals. Sunil Chhetri who came in failed to make an impact in the match. We are not playing at the level we should be playing," he said.
Mumbai are now struggling at the seventh spot with two losses and a draw from three games.
Bruzon said he believes the side have to be much brave and try scoring in the upcoming matches.
"We have to be brave and look for scoring. We have got a few positives from the match. We need to work on those. Nicolas Anelka didn't play but we can't think about that too much. Players who are on the field must deliver. There is no excuse for the loss," he said.
