Nashik jail prisoners appear for exam on Gandhiji
Over 300 prisoners of Nashik Road Central Jail appeared for a written examination on the life of the Father of the Nation -- Mahatma Gandhi.

Central Jail appeared for a written examination on the life of
the Father of the Nation -- Mahatma Gandhi.
The examination was conducted by Mumbai-based `Sarvodaya Mandal` and `Gandhi Research Centre` in Jalgaon. The intention behind the move was to inspire the jail inmates with the teachings of the Mahatma. "The prisoners were provided with various kinds of material on the life of Mahatma Gandhi a month back and the exam that carried 60 marks, was conducted at the prison yesterday," Dr Nilesh Jagdale, state convenor told reporters. Sarvodaya Mandal has been conducting the exam in 18 central jails in Maharashtra in October every year.
