Johannesburg: Belgium are set to replace World Cup finalist Argentina as the world's top-ranked football team in the next FIFA world rankings in November.
Belgium are currently third behind current top-ranked nation Argentina and world champions Germany in second but they will surpass both the teams after finishing top of their Euro 2016 qualifying group, Sport24 reported.
While Belgium have won their last two games against Andorra and Israel, Germany lost to Ireland last week and Argentina lost to Ecuador and drew with Paraguay in recent South American World Cup qualifiers.
The team had reached the World Cup quarter-finals in Brazil last year and include star players like Eden Hazard, Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne.
