London: Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded Golden Boot for a record fourth time after scoring the highest number of goals in Europe's domestic leagues last season.

According to the Guardian, the Portuguese international netted 48 goals in his 35 La Liga appearances to receive his third Golden Boot with Real Madrid. He had also received the award with Manchester United during 2007-08 Premier League season.


Earlier in September, Ronaldo had replaced Raul as Madrid's all-time leading scorer with 324 goals.
