Cristiano Ronaldo is the best: Zinedine Zidane

New Delhi: The ongoing debate on who is the best player in the world, between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, has found a new wrangler Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane, 43, on Wednesday claimed that Madrid front-man Ronaldo is the best player in the world ahead of Barcelona's Messi.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is the best," Zidane was quoted as saying by goal.com. And putting his perspective on the well documented rivalry between the two super stars, the former France captain said that it's good for the sport.

"Messi is his rival and the rivalry is good for football," he added.

Zidane replaced Rafael Benitez as the manager at Santiago Bernabeu at the start of January.
