Cech achieved the feat as Arsenal beat Bournemoth 2-0 at the Emirates to atop the Premier League standings.

Cech went past former England and Premier League goalkeeper David James with the cleanest sheets in the domestic competition.

The former Chelsea player is still regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and has been essential for Arsenal this season.

Cech had joined Chelsea in 2004 and went on to make a staggering 333 appearances in the EPL. He joined Arsenal this summer and has gone on to continue his fine run.

Former record holder David James congratulated Petr Cech on his achievement.

The 33-year-old will hope he keeps getting more clean sheets and let his performance do the talking for years to come.

Leicester City's reserve stopper Mark Schwarzer is in third place with 151 clean sheets from 514 appearances.
