WATCH HIGHLIGHTS: Minnows Iceland dump mighty England out of Euro 2016

New Delhi: Ragnar Sigurdsson and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson on Tuesday claimed their place in sporting history with the goals that secured a 2-1 win for Iceland over star-studded England.

England, ranked 11th in the world, were left cursing by Joe Hart`s blunder that led to Iceland's second goal.

The Three Lions received plenty of flak from their very vocal and passionate fans after yet another meek display at a major tournament.

For Iceland this was a life-changing experience and certainly their biggest win on the world stage.

"We knew they were dangerous from set-pieces and throw-ins. We didn`t deal with that well enough. We prepared and did everything we could and it hasn`t worked for us," said England skipper Wayne Rooney after the defeat.
