The Italians completed the job late on in the game, as Eder scored a spectacular solo effort to break Swedish hearts.

With only two minutes to play the striker produced a fine run that took him past the Swedish defence to fire the ball into the net.

Interestingly, his goal was eerily similar to the one scored by Italian legend Robert Baggio in the 1994 World Cup.

While it is unfair to compare the two players at this stage, Eder's effort certainly reminded Italy fans of their hero.
