AIFF general secratary Kushal Das stated on Thursday that the Mohun Bagan coach has been issues a show-cause notice for his comments.

"Yes, we have show-caused Sanjoy Sen for his comments on the AIFF," said Kushal Das.

This comes after the incident that occurred last week. Sen had lashed out at the AIFF saying it has been "sold out" after his request for rescheduling of an I-League match was ignored by the premier football body.

Sen who saw his side win their first match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League qualifiers against Tampines Rovers at home (Jan 27), wasn't keen to play an I-League match against DSK Shivajians (Jan 30). Sen's side had to fly out to China for their second qualifying round on February 2.

Sen had asked the AIFF to reschedule the match as he wanted his players to get a much needed rest. But the AIFF paid no heed which led Sen to lash out at the body.

Mohun Bagan unfortunately lost that game against Shandong Luneng to bow out of the ACL.
