New Delhi: Heavyweights Bengaluru FC returned at the top of I-League table after a thumping 4-1 win over DSK Shivajians even as defending champions Mohun Bagan were held to a goalless draw at Mumbai on Wednesday.

In a one-sided game at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore, the hosts toyed with the promoted side to score at will. Indian skipper Sunil Chhetri scored as early as the 13th minute, before North Korean Seong-Yong Kim double the lead in the 32nd minute.

Shivajians pulled one back before the break to keep their chances with Sampath Kuttymani finding the back of the net in the 45th minute.

In the second half, the former champions scored twice through Shankar Sampingiraj (52nd) and Seminlen Doungel (79th) to kill off the contest.

In today's another match defending champions Bagan shared the spoils with a spirited Mumbai FC at the Cooperage Ground, Mumbai.

Sanjoy Sen's outfit started as the favourites but, the home team managed to grind out a deserving draw. The match, which witnessed as many as seven bookings, have had enough goal scoring chances, but ended up in a stalemate.

After five games, Bagan are third in the table with 11 points, while Mumbai are fourth with nine points.
