New Delhi: Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has passed the kidney stone which forced him to sit out yesterday’s Club World Cup semi-final against Guangzhou Evergrande.
According to a report in Spanish publication, AS.COM, the Argentine however failed to take part in the morning practice session, even as Barcelona doctors urged caution.
The 28-year-old forward had endured restless nights with the kidney stone causing his abdominal pains, which was reported world wide.
The report further mentioned that doctors want to make sure that there are no traces of renal calculus in the player’s urinary tract. And advised maximum rest for better prognosis.
However, the four-time World Player of the Year is expected to play in the final of the Club World Cup against River Plate on Sunday.
