New Delhi: It was supposed to be a charity match for peace, sanctioned by none other than Pope Francis. But the match, dubbed "United for Peace", witnessed legendary Diego Maradona pursuing Sebastian Veron with not so good intention.
Maradona, 55, took a nasty tumble after the two Argentines bumped into each other. Not happy with the treatment from the former Manchester United player, Maradona pursued Veron as the teams walked off the pitch at half-time.
Brazil legend Cafu was forced to hold back Maradona with the Argentine world cup winner showing no signs of letting off.

Interestingly, Maradona had coached Veron between 2008-10 while he was in charge of the Argentine national team.
The 1986 World Cup winning captain was one of the many football legends who turned up for the charity match in Rome's Olympic Stadium.

But the tussle between the two Argentine was the lowlight, or this case, the highlight of the match.
Maradona's Rest of the World XI lost the match 4-3 to La Liga XI, with Fernando Cavenaghi scoring the winning goal.

Ronaldinho, Francesco Totti, Edgar Davids, Hernan Crespo and Bojan Krkic were some of the other stars who took part in the match.
The Pope is a fellow countryman of Maradona and Veron. He supports Argentine club San Lorenzo.
