Madrid: Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is a major doubt for Saturday`s La Liga clash at home to Granada after suffering a shoulder injury in Madrid`s 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk.
"The player has been diagnosed with a dislocated acromioclavicular joint in his left shoulder. His condition will be evaluated," the club said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Always with a smile, whatever happens. Working hard to come back stronger," Ramos posted on his Twitter account alongside a photo of him with his shoulder heavily strapped.
Gareth Bale and Raphael Varane were also forced off with injuries as Madrid swept aside the Ukrainians in their opening Champions League group game.
Madrid sports daily Marca reported Bale will undergo a scan on Thursday after the inflammation from his calf injury has died down.
Real coach Rafael Benitez was more concerned with the Welshman`s condition than his two central defenders.
"Bale had a spasm in his calf muscle," said Benitez.
"Obviously we have to wait, I said before two of them are knocks. Gareth is the only one that I am a little bit more negative with but I have to wait to see what the doctor says."
