Tickets can be bought through online system Ticketek with prices ranging between $15 (150 Argentinean pesos) and $180 (1,800 pesos), reported Xinhua.

The prices have rocketed despite the low public turnout at Buenos Aires' Monumental Stadium three weeks ago during the South American side's defeat against Ecuador, authorities said.

The prices have stayed the same in the popular section and it is still at a cost of $15 like it was in the match against Ecuador. But the rest of the stadium's sections are more expensive and some have even increased by 50 percent.

Among the areas with increased prices is the part of the Centenario stall set aside for the Brazil fans which increased from $50 during the Ecuador match to $120 dollars for the upcoming Brazil match.

Argentina will face Brazil in River Plate's Monumental Stadium on Thursday November 12.
