New Delhi: Honoring Cristiano Ronaldo's success at the Euro 2016, the Madeira International airport will be renamed the Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo airport.
Miguel Albuquerque, the president of Madeira, confirmed that the island's main airport will be renamed after the Real Madrid forward who already has a bronze statue, a museum and a hotel named after him in capital of Madeira, Funchal which is also the his place of birth.
To this extraordinary gesture, this is what the 31-year-old tweeted:
