New Delhi: The capital woke up to a hot morning Sunday with the minimum temperature settling five notches above average at 32.7 degrees Celsius. The Met department has forecast some relief with possibility of clouds and thunder.

"The day should see mainly clear skies but it could turn partly cloudy towards evening with possibility of thunder developments in some areas. The maximum temperature is expected to be 44 degrees Celsius," an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 41 percent. Saturday`s maximum and minimum temperature was four notches above average at 43.2 and 32.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
