Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said his government is committed to an "equitable and holistic" development of the state for which a "befitting roadmap" is being followed to reach out to all areas and sections of society.
He also underlined the importance of maintaining a "constant public rapport" to receive information about the status of development schemes and people`s needs in specific areas. Omar, who met various delegations from all over the state during a "public mulakaat" (public meeting) here, said the public interaction has been made a necessary feature in the functioning of the administration.
The Chief Minister said the government`s intention is to ensure that maximum benefits of development programmes reach to the people. "As such proper monitoring and feedback is all the more important in this regard," Omar said.
