Lahiri will head to play in the Hero World Golf Challenge in the Bahamas this week.

Anirban Lahiri moves up to 39th in world golf rankings

London: India's Anirban Lahiri jumped two places to be 39th, while S.S.P. Chawrasia moved up three places to be 239th in the latest world golf rankings released on Monday.

The 28-year-old Lahiri didn't play last week but advanced by the mathematical permutations of the world rankings, as did Chawrasia.

Lahiri will head to play in the Hero World Golf Challenge in the Bahamas this week, while Chawrasia will visit Vietnam to compete at the Ho Tram Open of the Asian Tour.

Third-highest-ranked Indian golfer is Rashid Khan, who went down three places to be 279th.

Delhi's Chiragh Kumar moved down three places to be 307th, while former Asian Tour champion Jyoti Randhawa was down by four places to be 390th.

Rahil Gangjee was 416th last week and this time he has lost four places.

The United States' Jordan Spieth continues to remain on top, followed by Jason Day of Australia and Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland.

Austalian Adam Scott leapfrogged Zach Johnson (11th) of the US and Sergio Garcia (12th) to be 10th after his tied second finish at his National Open last week.

Matt Jones has a massive gain as jumped 30 places to be 51st following his scintillating triumph in Sydney.
