IPL stars Yuzvendra Chahal, Karun Nair, KL Rahul make ODI debuts in Zimbabwe

New Delhi: Favourites India handed one-day international debuts to three players as their three-match series against Zimbabwe got underway at Harare Sports Club on Saturday.

Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and batsmen Karun Nair and KL Rahul all earned their first cap, as India fielded just three players from their last ODI against Australia in Sydney.

All three players had impressive outings in the recently concluded 2016 Indian Premier League season for their respective franchises.

India restricted Zimbabwe for a paltry total of 168 runs as skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's decision to bowl first was backed up by his bowlers.
