The 11th day of sporting events at the 18th edition of the Asian Games 2018 kicks-off in Indonesia on August 29, Wednesday. India, at the 8th rank, bagged a total of 54 medals so far, which include 11 Gold, 20 Silver and 23 Bronze medals.

In one of the major highlights of the day, Arpinder Singh won gold in men's triple jump. Indian sprinter Dutee Chand clinched the silver medal in women's 200m event of Asian Games. Swapna Barman clinched a gold in women's Heptathlon today taking the total number of gold medals to 11.


Indian women's squash team entered semifinals and assured itself a medal. In Boxing, Amit Panghal entered semifinals to assure himself a medal. In women's Hockey, India beat China 1-0 and secured its place in the final. It is all set to take on Japan on Friday.
