Ghaziabad: A man posing as a journalist was arrested along with a police constable here for blackmailing a health official by claiming that they had a CD that showed him in a compromising position with a woman, police said. Ravi Shukla and constable Vinesh Kumar, presently posted in Agra, went to Additional Chief Medical Officer Rameshwar Dayal`s residence on Friday and demanded Rs 5 lakh from him, they said. Dayal, however, called his neighbours for help following which the duo were beaten up and later handed over to the police, SP (City) JK Shahi said, adding that the accused have confessed to their crime.
Meanwhile, Dayal denied that he was involved with any woman. PTI
