Bhopal: The BJP on Wedesday accepted the resignation of party`s Madhya Pradesh unit Vice President Dhruv Narayan Singh, whose name has cropped up in RTI activist Shehla Masood`s murder case.
Singh, an MLA, had tendered resignation last night after his name figured in the murder case. State unit chief Prabhat Jha accepted the resignation today, BJP sources said. Singh represents Bhopal Central constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
The CBI, which is probing the Masood murder case, has already questioned him. He also underwent a lie-detector test in New Delhi.
Singh, however, claimed that allegations levelled against him by architect Zahida Parvez, an accused in the case, were baseless, and he was completely innocent.
