Pune: Activist Anna Hazare`s health is stable and is improving, doctors attending to him said here on Thursday. The 74-year-old is eating well and in good spirits.
"Anna is stable and improving. His appetite is better now and he is eating well. He also did a 15-minute walk on the treadmill and is responding well to treatment," said Mahendra Kawedia from Sancheti Hospital, who has been closely monitoring Hazare`s condition. "Tomorrow, we will have Anna take a few tests, including X-rays, to check on the congestion in his chest. We will then take a decision on his discharge Saturday or Sunday," he added.
On Tuesday, doctors had increased his dosage of antibiotics and said his discharge might be postponed to Sunday instead of Friday. The activist, admitted to hospital with chest congestion, is also suffering from osteosporosis, a disease of the bones.
