Krishnaiah Setty appeals seeking anticipatory bail
The case pertains to illegal denotification of government land for pecuniary gain and is the first of the five filed before the Lokayukta court.
Bangalore: Former Karnataka housing minister
Krishnaiah Setty, one of the accused along with former chief
minister BS Yeddyurappa in corruption cases, on Thursday filed an
anticipatory bail petition.
Yeddyurappa and his family members were granted
anticipatory bail by the high court yesterday in two private
complaints filed against them.
In his petition, Setty said he is the fifth accused in the second private complaint and pleaded for anticipatory bail, saying the role played by him is of much lesser gravity than the main accused, Yeddyurappa, his two sons and son-in-law. Since the main accused was granted anticipatory bail by the court yesterday, he should also be granted the same, Setty contended.
