`Maoist` surrenders before Mamata`s residence
A person claiming to be a Maoist with cases against him in Purulia district today `surrendered` before West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee`s residence here and was arrested.

before West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee`s residence
here and was arrested.
Prakash Acharya went to Banerjee`s residence in South
Kolkata and expressed his desire to surrender when he was
arrested by the Special Task force of the Kolkata Police, STF
sources said.
"There are some inconsistencies in his statement and we
are verifying them," they said.
When asked, STF chief Rajiv Kumar said "one person came to surrender. We are interrogating him."
Asked whether there was any truth in the man`s claim, Kumar said "we have just started interrogating him and any details about his activities are yet to be ascertained".
