Meet Ashley Graham - First plus-sized Sports Illustrated swimsuit model

New Delhi: For those who believe that women with only a lean body can become succesfull models, there is some news.

Breaking the trend is Ashley Graham, a plus-size model who was announced as one of the Sports Illustrated's 2016 issue’s five ‘rookies’— to be voted on by the public in an upcoming poll.

“It’s official - I’m a @si_swimsuit model!!” the 28-year-old wrote on Instagram. “This is a dream come true. Thank you to everyone who stood up for curves- our voices were heard and together we can help me win Rookie of the Year.”

Graham made history last year when the magazine featured her in its annual Swimsuit Edition as an advertisement.

This time, however, the magazine has made the plus-size model an official part of it's annual issue.
