PV Sindhu ups glamour quotient: Gorgeous badminton ace sizzles in magazine photoshoot — WATCH

New Delhi: Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu showed her more than perfect glamour quotient during a photoshoot with women’s magazine, Just for Women (JFW) last week.

The 21-year-old also featured on the cover of the magazine, with a brave cut-out grey lace outfit with elegant designs. In other photo releases, the badminton ace was seen smiling in different outfits showcasing her radiance with minimal make-up.

During the video shoot, Sindhu talked exclusively talked how she prepared for the rigours of Olympics and the subsequent success that comes her way.

“For three months, I didn’t have a phone and I had to get away from junk food and everything. That really helped me. We planned accordingly and strategy wise it all worked out," she told JFW.

She also reiterated the influence of Pullela Gopichand on her career, and how the celebrated coach made sacrifices for his pupil.

"Gopi Sir also worked really hard for me and sacrificed a lot of things. So it paid off well. It has been a wonderful journey. Those three months were tough but if you want something, you have to sacrifice something in life. I have got a medal for the country. So I think I am really proud of it," she added.

Competing in her first tournament after the Olympics, she suffered a narrow defeat to Sayaka Sato of Japan in women’s singles at Denmark Super Series premier on Thursday.

In a battle of nerve, Sindhu went down fighting 13-21 23-21 18-21 to World No. 12 Sato in a second round match that lasted an hour and five minutes.

The Hyderabadi champ will be back at French Open next week.

In August, Sindhu became the first ever women's Olympics silver medallist. She lost to world number one Carolina Marin of Spain in the women's singles final.
