Shimla: In an effort to increase tourist footfalls to its verdant green hillscape, the Himachal Pradesh government is all set to execute Rs 70-crore beautification plan for capital Shimla.
"A committee headed by the chief secretary will be constituted to work out the detailed execution of the Rs 70- crore project, with the participation of local communities, the private sector and other stakeholders," Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said on Wednesday. The new plan envisages development of parks, landscaping, streetscaping and the setting up of other facilities catering to the needs of locals and tourists alike, he said. PTI
