New Delhi: Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar on Sunday moved closer to winning an Olympic medal by finishing sixth in Vault during apparatus round at HSBC Arena, in Rio de Janeiro.

Ever since she became the first Indian women gymnast to qualify for the Olympics at 2016 Rio Games, talks of Produnova vault has almost became synonymous with the Tripura girl.

Even though it is a risky affair, Dipa has won praise even in the past for her execution in what is believed to be the hardest vault.
