New Delhi: India's Olympic Bronze medalist Sakshi Malik was announced as the new brand ambassador of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign on Wednesday.
The decision was announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar during Sakshi's felicitation ceremony.

Khattar also handed over a cheque of Rs 2.5 crore to Sakshi.
Sakshi thanked all her fans for the support and asked them to continue supporting her in future as well.
The 23-year-old wrestler, who won India's first medal at Rio Olympics 2016, arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday where she was welcomed by several ministers.
Haryana’s Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij, who was present in Rio as head of state delegation, accompanied the 23-year-old wrestler on her return flight.
Sakshi became the first Indian woman wrestler to clinch a medal at the biggest sporting extravaganza.
