New Delhi: Tennis ace Rafael Nadal has been struggling with injuries and poor form for quite some time now.
But in the recent past, the Spaniard has given hints of coming back to his former self.
If, the recent win of Rafa over his arch-rival Roger Federer in the Indian Premier League (IPTL) is anything to go by, then the 14-time Grand Slam champion is set to make a comeback in the forthcoming season with a bang.
Nadal, who is leading the defending champions Indian Aces, edged out UAE Royals' Federer 7-4 in an enthralling shootout, winning their set 6-5, as his side notched a 30-19 victory over the UAE Royals in New Delhi.
Former Indian ace Vijay Amritraj also feels that Nadal will make a strong comeback next year.
"Actually, nothing much (has happened to Nadal). He made the world finals in London which means he is the world's best player ... As long as he is healthy he will play unbelievable tennis. He will come back extremely strongly next year, I think," said Amritraj.
Nadal, who last won a Grand Slam title at Roland Garros in 2014, did not win a major in 2015.
