New Delhi: Andy Murray might have lost yet another final to World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, but the Briton won several hearts with a wonderful gesture during the summit clash.
Nole was handed the warning by umpire Mohamed Lahyani after taking too long to serve at 4-2 in the final set.
But Murray told the umpire it was his fault as a result of which his opponent had exceeded the time limit.
'I'm the one who kept him waiting. He was ready five seconds ago,' Murray told the official.
After the match, Djoker took to Twitter to publicly laud Murray's wonderful gesture!
.@andy_murray really grateful and honoured to have witnessed your sportsmanship tonight. Tennis is lucky to have you as ambassador.Thank you
