Martina Hingis's partnership with Sania has continued to blossom and together the duo look like an unstoppable force who can conquer more laurels as the year passes.

The sensational World No. 1 pair on Thursday, broke a 22-year-old world record by winning their 29th women’s doubles match in a row en route to their entry into the women’s doubles final of the WTA Sydney International, in Sydney.

After surpassing the pair of Puerto Rican Gigi Fernandez and Belarus’ Natasha Zvereva, who won 28 matches on the trot during their successful pairing back in 1994, the successful duo will hope to win the honours in Sydney in build up to the Australian Open starting from January 18.

The Indo-Swiss pair had a dream time in 2015 when they won 9 titles which included the Wimbledon, US Open and the year-ending WTA finals. That form has carried in 2016 as they seek their second successive title after pocketing the Brisbane International earlier.

It has been a fairytale time in Australia for both Hingis and Sania, ahead of the year's first Grand Slam. If the duo manage to win the title in Sydney, they will most probably win the Slam too.

The understanding of each other's game is a big plus for the Indo-Swiss pair who look happy and positive as partners. Their joyous ride on the court has paid dividends as at the moment it looks difficult for any other pair to beat them.

Hingis' experience and class has helped Sania a lot in aspects regarding her game and mental strength. Hingis' return to the tennis court has been a revelation in both women's doubles and mixed doubles.

With the Rio 2016 Olympics coming this year, Hingis will be eyeing two medals for her nation. A mouth-watering prospect of partnering Roger Federer will be the key for Switzerland in the Olympics.
