New Delhi: Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza slammed those who question her about family planning aspirations.
In an interview to BBC, Sania shared her views on the 'man's world' and slammed those who asked her personal questions.
"I find it extremely disrespectful to ask someone when they are having a child. Just because I am a public figure, I don't think it gives anybody the right to ask what happens in my bedroom," Sania said.
Sania revealed that two days after winning the mixed doubles title in Wimbledon in 2015, she was asked at a press conference about when was she planning to have a child.
When asked about the challenges she faces as a female athlete, Sania said, "I do think that we do live in a man's world to a large extent. A lot of people might come out and say that we don't, but the fact of the matter is that sometimes when you are a woman, you have to fight a lot harder for the things."
