New Delhi: India's top singles player Yuki Bhambri has withdrawn from the 2016 Chennai Open due to an elbow injury.
Yuki, 23, took to took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the disappointing news, and said, "Unfortunately my recovery has taken longer than I expected and so will not be able to play in Chennai this year...."

In a breakthrough year, Yuki broke into top-100 in 2015. He also captured two Challenger singles titles.
Chennai Open starts on January 4 next next year will have top players like world no. 4 Stanislas Wawrinka, world no. 12 Kevin Anderson and 19th ranked Benoit Paire taking part in the tournament.
