Tirupati: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami today offered worship at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara near here.

The Chief Minister, who is on his maiden visit, took part in the 'Astadala Paadapadmaradhan' ritual conducted for the presiding deity inside the sanctum sanctorum this morning, temple sources said.


He was accompanied by his wife and other family members.


After offering prayers, he was honoured with a sacred silk cloth and holy 'prasadam' by the temple management.
He later left for Chennai.


Palaniswami arrived here last night.


Tight security arrangements were put in place for his visit.
