TTV Dinakaran is 420: Tamil Nadu CM E Palaniswamy

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswamy on Friday described VK Sasikala's nephew TTV Dinakaran as '420'.

Tamil Nadu's ruling AIADMK on Thursday sacked its deputy general secretary Dinakaran, nephew of the jailed general secretary VK Sasikala, in a move aimed at placating the rival faction ahead of a possible merger between the two groups.

Prospects of a merger of the two factions of the AIADMK brightened with the Chief Minister K Palaniswami-led Amma camp moving against the appointment of Sasikala's nephew as deputy general secretary.

When asked to comment on DMK's announcemnet that it would move a motion of no confidence against the government, "if required", the Chief Minister expressed confidence in sailing through the floor test.
