VK Sasikala pushed Jayalalithaa down as she was about to introduce me as her son: Tamil Nadu man
Jayalalithaa died on December 5 after prolonged hospitalisation, and a faction of party members have questioned the circumstances around her death.
Chennai: Amid demands for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into party chief J Jayalalithaa's death, a young man has come forward and claimed to be the son of the former Tamil Nadu chief minister.
According to India Today, Erode resident Krishnamurthy has registered a complaint with chief secretary of Tamil Nadu, Girija Vaidyanathan, alleging that he is the only son of Jayalalithaa and that his mother was killed.
He claimed that he stays at Jayalalithaa's friend Vanithamani's house along with his adopted parents.
He also said that he met Jayalalithaa at Poes Garden on September 14, 2016, and stayed with the late AIADMK leader for four days.
"My mother wanted to introduce me as her son to the world and knowing this an argument broke out between her and Sasikala. She pushed my mother down the stairs on 22nd September and killed her," he claimed.
Krishnamurthy added that he didn't come forward earlier because he was afraid; however, he gathered courage later to reveal the truth.
He further stated that he is the rightful heir to Jayalalithaa's properties as he is her only son.
Jayalalithaa died on December 5 after prolonged hospitalisation, and a faction of party members have questioned the circumstances around her death.
Former Tamil Nadu Assembly speaker PH Pandian had alleged that Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on September 22, 2016, after the then Chief Minister was pushed down by someone at her Poes Garden residence.
After Jayalalithaa's death triggered a virtual split in the AIADMK, the party members in the Lok Sabha are divided into two factions: one backing former chief minister O Panneerselvam and the other aligned with Chief Minister E Palaniswamy.
