Reliance Jio's tariff plan from April 1; voice calls, roaming to be free: Mukesh Ambani

New Delhi: Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries on Tuesday extended the Reliance Jio Happy New Offer by one year for its PRIME members. He also announced that Jio tariff plans will start from April 1.

Know what he said: 

- Mukesh Ambai: Today, just 170 days since its launch, Jio has crossed the 100 million customer mark on its 4G LTE network. Jio has added, on average, nearly 7 customers on its network every second of every day.

-Jio users consumed more than 100Cr GB of data per month on the Jio network! That's more than 3.3Cr GB a day

-India becomes number 1 in mobile data usage 

-Jio carries nearly 5.5 crore hours of video daily on its network

-We are making our network faster stronger by the day

- In the coming days we will cover 99 percent of the country's population

-On all of Jio’s tariff plans, all domestic voice calls to any network will always remain FREE

-No roaming from April 1 when promo offer ends; to double data capacity in coming months

-Jio is customer-obsessed organisation. Our investment and technology creation has created data-strong network, Data is oxygen of digital life.

-Jio will match the highest selling tariff of other operators and provide 20% more data than what other operators provide

As per reports, Reliance Jio was working with Lava International and Chinese original equipment makers to manufacture VoLTE feature phones.

The phone is expected to sell at around Rs 1,000 (about $15).
