Xiaomi passes on GST rate cut benefit to customers; slashes prices on host of products

New Delhi:  In light of recent GST rate cut, Xiaomi has decided to pass on the benefit to the customers. The Chinese smartphone manufacturing company on Friday announced price cut on a host of Mi accessories.

Xiaomi India has tweeted:

Xiaomi India yesterday also announced that it will soon come up with a new smartphone.  Xiaomi VP and India MD Manu Kumar Jain has teased the upcoming phone via twitter, naming it Desh ka phone.

Jain's tweet has sparked speculations among gadget enthusiasts that the phone might be launched under Xiaomi's 'Make in India' push.

The upcoming phone will most likely to be an entry-level model considering Xiaomi's constant efforts to penetrate into Indian rural market as well.

Xiaomi recently shared the top slot for the first time with South Korean tech giant Samsung in the Indian smartphone market.
