`Godman` arrested for rape in Hydearbad

Hyderabad: Police here on Wednesday arrested a self-styled `Baba' (godman) for allegedly raping a 26-year-old woman.

Abdul Mannan, the accused, allegedly raped the woman three or four times since July this year after promising to offer prayers for her, police said.

The woman, a divorcee, had approached him seeking remedy for her depression.

A case was registered at the Humayun Nagar police station and further probe is on, police said.
