Single women pension scheme launched in Telangana

Hyderabad: The single women pension scheme providing Rs 1,000 financial assistance per month to single women was launched across Telangana today.

Pension sanction orders were handed over to beneficiaries by Telangana Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiyam Srihari and Mohammad Mahmood Ali, other Ministers and by MLAs constituency-wise at different functions organised across the state.

Officials have identified 1,08,302 beneficiaries in 31 districts.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had earlier announced disbursement of pension of Rs 1,000 per month for single women, who have no support.
