Disha Vakani aka Daya Ben to quit 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'?

New Delhi: One of the most popular sitcoms on Indian television, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is loved by the audiences across all age groups. The favourite jodi of Jetha Lal and Daya Ben happens to be the best one on small screens.

Daya aka Disha Vakani had taken a maternity break from the show and was not replaced by anyone. She is blessed with a baby girl who was born on November 30, 2017. Now that it's been some while and the buzz around her return is catching up, reports suggest that she might quit the show to take care of her child.

According to Timesofindia.com, the actress, who took her break from September last year hasn't given her final nod about returning on the show. At the time when Disha took her maternity break, the TRPs were expected to fall as she played the most loved character. However, the show continued to do well and its popularity was not affected.

The report quotes producer Asit Kumar Modi as saying, “The shooting conditions are tough and since Disha's baby is still very young she needs her. We haven't discussed about her return yet and there is no official confirmation on Disha quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.”

All the characters playing their respective parts in the sitcom have gained immense popularity owing to its high TRP and audience love. Daya and Jethalal Gada's funny banter and a familial bond between various characters living in Gokuldham society are totally unmissable.
